Title of Process: OECD - Annex I Expert Group (AIXG) on the UNFCCC

Objective: The Annex I Expert Group is an ad-hoc group of government officials from Environment, Energy and Foreign Affairs ministries from countries that are listed in Annex I to the UNFCCC. The OECD and IEA carry out analytical work for this Group both to support Annex I countries in the UNFCCC negotiations and to support national climate change policy development.
Project Description: The group meets in regular intervals. It was decided at the meeting in September 2003 to place emphasis on the work area “long term issues”.
